There are many different types of alternative therapy available today and these therapies have been practiced for many years. There are sections that most therapies have been divided into such as the Reiki therapy, Massage and Hydrotherapy a selection of these different therapies and their different uses are below:
Thermo-auricular - This form of therapy has been practiced since the times of the first American Indians. It has quite a specific use as it helps relieve problems with the ears, nose and throat and provides an alternative to modern medicine solutions such as syringing. It has vapours that work their way through the ear canals drawing out all the impurities as it goes.
Reflexology -The modern form of reflexology is taken from a type of therapy used by the Egyptians and evidence of similar therapies dating back as far as 4,000 B.C. It works by the therapist concentrating on reflex areas around the person's hands and feet that corresponded with their different organs and glands. It is seen to be a benefit for those with both physical and emotional problems.
Aromatherapy - It is said to be over 6,000 years old making it one of the earliest forms of natural therapy used today. Over the years it has proven to help many find relief from various problems of the body. It uses different blends of essential oils that work on relaxing the person's muscles, each oil has different benefits to others.
Phytomer body/face treatments - Since the discovery that sea minerals and vitamins have benefits for the human skin it's become popular to have the therapy, if you have various skin complaints it has been proven to help with some. The process uses various scrubs and oils, made entirely of natural sea products, are used on the skin to promote healthier looking, softer skin. The products used are different for each person because the requirements of people's skin differ so much.
Magnetic healing - This therapy has been in use since the ancient Egyptian times. It has been since this time that there have been developments in different products such as necklaces and bracelets, the use of magnet therapy is said to help with various health problems such as joint pains, insomnia and spasms in the muscles.
Raindrop technique - With a selection of nine essential oils that promote relaxation they are held about 10 cm's above the persons back then each oil is dripped once on the persons back (with the base oil) along their spine, the oils are then massaged into the spine and the rest of the back.
This technique is supposed to release any tension in the effected persons back.
The different types of therapy and their uses are always developing and more therapies are always being found. This meaning with the selection of therapies now available there are many more possibilities for those wanting to find a natural remedy to their problems rather than resorting to modern antibiotics etcetera, and for those that simply struggle to relax.
